The Nova Scotia NDP plans to introduce legislation when the legislature resumes that is aimed at lowering power bills by 10 per cent. Leader Claudia Chender says the bill would also protect people’s private information. The announcement comes after Nova Scotia announced its intention to increase rates by eight per cent over two years, and a massive data breach that saw the utility customers’ private information stolen by hackers.
