As the province continues work on twinning Highway 103 a stretch of highway between Hubbards and Chester will have lane closures for the next year. The highway from two kilometres west of Exit 6 to four kilometres west of Exit 7 will be closed for blasting. It’s expected the lane closures will be in place until May next year. As part of the same project, Trunk 3 from one kilometre west of the carpool parking lot at Exit 7 will have temporary lane closures for blasting until June 2026. The work in both locations is planned for most weekdays at about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for about 10 minutes at a time. The eastbound and westbound lanes are both closed during the blasting. Traffic control is in place. Blasting and lane closure will not take place after noon on Fridays, holidays and days before holidays and on weekends.
