South Shore Regional Hospital and Bridgewater wastewater treatment plant get provincial money

Bridgewater is getting a financial boost from the provincial budget. There is almost $132 million earmarked to be shared between the South Shore Regional Hospital and the Yarmouth Hospital.  The South Shore Regional Hospital redevelopment project will add 30 per cent more space to the hospital’s footprint, a redeveloped and expanded emergency department, a new MRI and new expanded day surgery clinics. The Bridgewater wastewater infrastructure has also been promised $3.2 million in the budget. The $69.4 million project will see upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant, pump stations and sewers to prevent flooding and allow for growth.
