After announcing that SaltWind Transportation would shut down for good the owner has announced the service will continue, with a twist. Owner Simon Gordon says because of community support SaltWind will move away from general taxi work and focusing on pre-booked intertown trips, long-distance travel, and airport transfers. Residents of the Town of Lunenburg will no longer be able to book any trips that originate and end within town limits. Gordon says he will be pursuing legal guidance about the town’s bylaws and prices will change to better reflect the rising price of gas and continuing to provide a safe, professional service.
