A $15 million shortfall in Nova Scotia Community College’s budget means the elimination of 91 positions. The post-secondary institution blames rising costs, declining international tuition revenue, and a $9.4 million reduction in its operating grant from the province. In a media release, the school says 50 management, 15 operational support and 26 professional support positions will be affected. The positions will be eliminated by term endings, voluntary exits and not filling vacancies.
