Environment Canada has issued a yellow rainfall warning for Lunenburg County. The weather agency says 40 to 60 mm of rain is possible during a prolonged period of rain that is expected to begin on Wednesday morning and may linger late into the day on Thursday. Lunenburg County REMO reminds residents to prepare for potential flooding. Remember to check sump pumps, drains and gutters and keep devices charged and flashlights handy in case of a power outage. REMO also says to top up any essentials like food, water and medication and know your way to high ground and your evacuation routes.
