Lunenburg County RCMP Catch Driver Who Ran from Shelburne District RCMP

A Nine Mile River man faces a slew of charges after fleeing from police, twice. Last Tuesday officers from the Shelburne District RCMP saw a grey Honda Civic with no licence plates. The driver pulled over for the police but took off as the officer got out of the cruiser. In the interest of public safety there was no pursuit. Then two days later, the Lunenburg County RCMP saw the same vehicle on Highway 103 near Chester Basin. The officer tried to stop the vehicle but the driver sped up and did not stop. Again, there was no pursuit. Later that day, the driver and a passenger were parked in Oakland. A 23-year-old man faces charges including flight from police and dangerous operation.
