Jobless Rate

Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate remains unchanged at 6.7 per cent in November. That’s the same as reported by Stats Can in October. The province’s jobless rate is the second lowest in the Maritimes with New Brunswick’s at 6.6 per cent. Unemployment in Newfoundland and Labrador remains the highest at 10.4 per cent. Nationally, the economy added 54,000 jobs, bringing the country’s unemployment rate to 6.5 per cent last month. That’s down from 6.9 per cent in October.
