In an effort to remove more interprovincial trade barriers, the province has announced two changes to existing regulations. New regulations will allow more types of commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles to operate in the province. Prior to this, some vehicles were not allowed in Nova Scotia. The province says this will support the movement of goods and services through the country. The province is also allowing modular buildings that meet the National Building Code to be installed in the province. Right now, manufacturers have to redesign the buildings to meet building codes for every province. The province says this creates barriers for standardization and interprovincial trade.
