Well-known for its school supplies, Hilroy is apologizing for leaving Newfoundland and Cape Breton off its map of Canada on its glossy notebooks. The company posted to Facebook saying the mistake was a production error. The company has pulled the books off shelves while the artwork is corrected. In the social media post, the company says, “To everyone who spotted it: you’re right and thank you for telling us.” The company is offering replacement books or refunds. Premier Tim Houston called the error unacceptable and asked the Minister of Education to send Hilroy a map of Canada.
