Nova Scotians can now access their personal health records through a mobile phone app called YourHealthNS. The app allows patients to view information on hospital visits, medications, immunizations, and lab test results. The service was developed as part of a successful $3-million pilot project involving family doctors and nurse practitioners. Patients who are at least 16 years old and have a valid health card can use the app, with records from IWK Health now available and records from family doctors and nurse practitioners coming soon.
