Marco MacLeod has resigned as the province’s Energy Minister. He stepped down on Wednesday night after meeting with women’s advocacy groups over misogynistic lyrics in songs he sang more than a decade ago. Premier Tim Houston says MacLeod feels his actions have become a distraction for the government and that he regrets performing the songs. Houston will take over the energy minister’s role from MacLeod.
