The Canadian Taxpayer’s Federation (CTF) is calling on the provincial government to rein in politicians’ spending. That after the federation obtained records of Houston’s trips to Paris, Boston, London and Milan. The CTF says the trips cost taxpayers $20,000. The records show that Houston spent three nights at the W London for $3,216. A two-night hotel stay in Milan came in at $1,828. CTF Atlantic Director and General Counsel says while Houston tells Nova Scotians his government has to find savings, he’s spending $1,000 a night for a luxury hotel room in London. The federation says, “Houston’s spending comes as the government irresponsibly borrows more money and racks up debt.”
