An additional charge has been laid against the suspect in this month’s bomb threat at the U.S. consulate in Halifax. Police have charged the 54-year-old with threats against internationally protected person, which is in addition to the charges of uttering threats and public mischief. The threat led to parts of downtown Halifax being shut down over several hours on August 9th. Police found a propane tank and other flammables in a vehicle parked near the consulate.
