A 28-year-old woman faces multiple charges after a fatal side-by-side crash in Forties in May of last year. Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on a logging road near the 1100 block of Forties Road on May 27th, 2024. Of the four people in the UTV, an infant died from their injuries, two adults suffered serious injuries and a child suffered minor injuries. Blood tests showed the driver had twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. On Thursday, the female driver was charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death, Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death and Causing Death by Criminal Negligence. The investigation continues.
